Dr. Mirza is a GP Partner, honorary Professor, and Cancer lead, focusing on medical education and reducing health inequalities in East Bordesley
I am a fully qualified and GMC-registered General Practitioner, with extensive experience across primary and secondary care, medical education, and clinical leadership.
My journey in medicine began with an MD (MuDr) from the prestigious Jessenius Medical Faculty, Comenius University in Slovakia, and continued with postgraduate qualifications including MRCGP (Royal College of General Practitioners) and MRCP(UK) (Royal College of Physicians).
Currently, I serve as a GP Partner in Birmingham, where I lead on clinical innovation, education, and patient care. I hold multiple leadership roles including Deputy Clinical Director and Cancer Lead for the East Bordesley Primary Care Network, where I contribute to the strategic delivery of enhanced services, workforce development, and improved population health outcomes.
I also act as the Assistant Safeguarding Lead and GSF (End-of-Life Care) Lead, ensuring robust patient safety and palliative care pathways.
In addition to my clinical and leadership work, I am deeply committed to medical education. As a GP trainer and educator, I mentor GP registrars, clinical pharmacists, nurses, and medical students from Aston Medical School. I have the privilege of being an Honorary Lecturer and Personal Tutor at Aston Medical School, and also serve as a PLAB examiner for the General Medical Council.
I have a strong passion for aesthetic and regenerative medicine, and I have completed a Level 7 Combined Skin & Injectables Diploma with Harley Academy. I have undertaken advanced training in facial aesthetics through Teoxane masterclasses and DermaMedical courses. I am also trained in Obagi/Mesoesthetic skincare, Aqualyx fat-dissolving, IntraVita IV therapies, and am developing further expertise in point-of-care ultrasound for facial aesthetics, MSK, and vascular assessment.
My clinical portfolio also includes a Minor Surgery qualification, allowing me to confidently and safely manage a wide range of dermatological and surgical presentations within primary care.
Beyond my clinical roles, I am a MedCo-registered expert witness, trained in medico-legal report writing through Bond Solon.
Fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, Mirpuri, and Hindi, I am proud to serve a diverse patient population and ensure culturally sensitive, accessible care.
I bring together clinical excellence, leadership, education, and a patient-first philosophy in everything I do—and I am always open to new collaborations that improve patient outcomes and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Dr Mirza is also a qualified, experienced and fully insured Aesthetics practitioner – Trained by Derma Medical. As part of his expanding services, Dr Mirza is also trained, licensed and insured to assess, supply and monitor patients for weight loss services including Saxenda, Ozempic an Wegovy.
