Botox
Botox injections are the UK’s number one method for treating facial wrinkles and lines. Wrinkles are caused by repeated facial muscle contraction during expressions. Over time these lines become deeper and more prominent. Botulinum toxin injected into these muscles causes them to relax and in turn causes facial lines and wrinkles to soften or disappear depending on their depth. Additionally in trained practitioner’s hands, these injections can also be used to relax muscles and by the action of opposing muscles create lifting effects. Treatment duration varies, but typically 1 treatment lasts 3-4months.

Assessment
This includes a consultation with our team. Discussion of what you are concerned about and looking for. Then medical history and consent form completion.
Treatment
The procedure lasts 15-20 minutes. No anaesthetic is needed for this and there is very little discomfort.
Recovery
The majority of people require no downtime following these procedures and can return to work and normal activities the same day.
Results
Results are seen 10-14 days after treatment. Results can be expected to last up to 4 months.
Following treatment, expect 7-14 days (1 month for some procedures) before full effect can be seen. Results of treatment last 4-6 months on average with some patients noting their results lasting longer.
Aftercare advice:
- Exercise the muscles of the treated area for 45 mins following treatment
- Remain upright for 3 hours following treatment.
- Avoid hot environments (Sauna, Steam, Sunbeds or Hot bath) for 24 hours after procedure.
- Avoid high intensity exercise for 24 hours after procedure.
- Avoid excessive alcohol for 24 hours after the procedure.
- Avoid touching or rubbing the injected area on the same day
